Fundamental Problems In The Industry

There have recently been significant advancements in technology, especially in software. There have also been significant developments in health care and workplace regulations, specifically in PPACA, HIPAA and ERISA.

The problem is that advancements in technology do not necessarily make life easier for most companies.  For example, it is not easy to require your HR staff to have to learn and to use different types of software for different tasks such as onboarding, payroll, time and attendance, benefits administration, human resources, etc. . . . This is also sometimes exacerbated by having a broker, or worse yet, several different brokers using their own unique software to manage benefits.  Furthermore, different insurance carriers have different portals where clients must make necessary changes that routinely come up such as terminating benefits for a terminated employee or adding a dependent during a qualifying event such as the birth of an employee’s child.

Another problem faced by many employers is trying to simultaneously run a business while trying to stay on top of the changing compliance regulations mandated by ERISA and the Affordable Care Act.  Sadly, sometimes the brokers that are assisting employers with choosing the right employee benefits are not doing enough to stay current on these regulations and/or simply fail to properly advise their clients when it is clearly apparent that the clients may not be in compliance.

How We Can Help

CTRIBS was created to specifically address some of these fundamental problems faced by many of today’s companies.  Our philosophy is to simplify the entire process of insurance and benefits as much as possible for our clients.  This is accomplished in several ways:

  1. Having agents that are licensed in many lines of insurance including life, accident, health, property and casualty and by truly attempting to thoroughly understand your business, we can provide your company with most, if not all, of the different forms of insurance needed to protect your company.  Basically, all of your insurance solutions are under one roof.
  2. We promote the “smart” use of the latest technology.  We encourage clients to consolidate to one COMPLETE software solution for payroll, tax filing, onboarding, human resources, time and attendance, benefits administration, etc. . . .
  3. We strive to stay current with the latest trends in the insurance industry and, as well as, the latest government regulations.  Our agents are members of the National Association of Health Underwriters.  When considering to offer employee benefits, speak to an agent with a Registered Employee Benefits Consultant designation (REBC).  The goal is to provide clients with the tools and resources they need to to stay compliant with the various regulations mandated by Erisa and the Affordable Care Act.
